In Question 3 of HW#1, what you are given are: If A is alcohol drinker and H is one with high blood pressure, you are given P(H) = 0.05, P(A|H) =0.25, P(A|Hc) =0.75, where Hc is the complement of H, that is, does not have high blood pressure.

Guidelines for Exam #2.
In Exercise 2.16 on Page 42 of Handout #2, there is a sentence missing between "Show that" and "Next". It should be "Show that E(x bar) = mu and Var(x ba) = sigma squared divided by n. Next let y = 1 over n summation a sub i x sub i, where a sub i's are fixed constants. Derive E(y) and Var(y). What is the condition for E(y) to be equal to mu?"
Homework #2 is due May 28 (not May 26 as it said originally). THE EXAM WILL NOT BE LIKE THE HOMEWORK. SO WAIT TILL THE EXAM IS OVER.
In question III of Homework #2, the correlation coefficient does not depend on the value for theta. So, ignore the information theta=2.
