Information about the final exam for Econ 120A

The final exam is on Tuesday, June 10, 2003, from 8 to 11 am in the regular classroom (verify it). It will carry a 30 percent weight. You are responsible only for the topics covered in class. You may bring one and ONLY ONE 4" x 6" index card. You would need a calculator. ALSO BE SURE TO BRING THE BINOMIAL AND NORMAL TABLES THAT YOU USED FOR HOMEWORK #3 AND STUDY BEFORHAND HOW TO USE THEM.
There will be a question or two on computing the probabilities from a normal distribution. Study all the examples in both handouts that relate to this topic and understand how to do them correctly. Also useful are Winter 1998 exam questions. Be sure to study the technique of interpolation that I presented in class.

You should know the definition of unbiasedness, efficiency, and consistency and be able to apply the first two to specific problems. Winter 1998 final exam has a question on this that you should study.
