Research Statement

My research interests lie in the fields of public economics, the economics of education and labor economics. In particular, I make use of standard applied identification techniques to evaluate how government policies affect the accumulation of human capital and to investigate what factors affect the production of knowledge. I find these topics particularly fascinating as having a well-educated labor force and being able to produce new knowledge are key to a country remaining competitive in today's knowledge economy.
