I am joining the Economics Department at Emory University in the Fall. I study macroeconomic questions related to macro-financial crises, identification in DSGE models, and trade dynamics. My job market paper develops a theory of the rise of non-prime mortgages that began in 2003 and precipitated the housing crisis of 2006-2007. This research provides micro-foundations for assessing policies meant to mitigate the risk of future housing crises. Please visit my research page for my other papers.
