About Me

I am a PhD candidate studying economics at UC San Diego. I am interested in the consequences and policy implications of internationally induced structural change. To this end, my research consists of two lines. The first examines the disconnect between the skills firms demand and the skills workers supply, a byproduct of competition from abroad and technological change. The second examines whether traditional monetary policy in the U.S. becomes less effective when foreign governments accumulate large amounts of Treasury debt.
